Over the past week, the Have a Heart for CANFAR team has been lucky enough to visit some of the high schools participating in this year’s campaign to see what students have been up to!
In addition to visiting Northern Secondary School (the first school to participate in the Have a Heart program back in 1993) last week, we were able to swing by Streetsville Secondary School in Mississauga and Central Technical Institute in Toronto.
Streetsville had a fun ‘Connect Four’ (“Make a connection”) tournament going on alongside ‘heart-o-gram’ sales, while Central Tech had a table set up over lunch in the main foyer selling ‘heart-o-grams’ alongside tickets to the Valentine’s dance. The student leadership and effort was clearly evident, and amazing to see in action. You can check out a few photos from our visits on our Facebook page!
