CANFAR is proud to partner with Carnival Nationz, one of the biggest mas bands participating in this year’s Toronto Caribbean Carnival Parade, to help raise awareness about HIV and AIDS.
AIDS is currently the leading cause of death among men and women aged 20 – 59 in the Caribbean. The partnership with Carnival Nationz allows CANFAR to reach each band member with an important message: You Can End AIDS! Packages of condoms, gum, and HIV information fact sheets will be distributed to revelers in the hope that they will not only be safe this carnival weekend but also feel empowered to make a difference in the lives of people living with HIV or AIDS here in Canada and in the Caribbean.
