Even More Updates!

May 20, 2011 by Alex K

It's that time again! Read up on the latest happenings in Kenya.

With all of their daily updates I’m beginning to feel like I’m a CANFAR Leader myself. Sounds good doesn’t it?

Take a look at their recent posts to join in on the adventure.

Alfred's smiling ear-to-ear as he makes and impact in Kenya. Browse through his blog and I promise you’ll be doing the same: http://thisisalfredlam.wordpress.com/

Having spent every day for over a week learning about HIV and AIDS, our CANFAR Leaders had the chance to switch things up and do some teaching of their own—a group of students aged 10-12 from a private school in Mombasa have joined our Leaders’ camp. Check out some of the questions these students had about HIV and AIDS highlighted on Will’s blog: http://willydreyer.wordpress.com/

Faith's writing never ceases to inspire me. What better way, then, to hear about the Samburu people and their progressive views towards HIV and AIDS education. Once again, this is a must read: http://www.faithgoestokenya.blogspot.com/

One of the things I’ve noticed through reading the CANFAR Leaders’ blogs is the astounding impact of community support. As a member of the Ol Moran Orphan Project so perfectly put it, “If they are not infected, they are affected.” Have a look at Tyler's blog as he talks more about the beauty of these connections: http://tylerbuist.wordpress.com/

As the communications and marketing intern, I’ve spent plenty of days alongside Holly B. What I’ve come to learn about this wonderful woman is that whether she’s singing, laughing, or working away at her computer, she has an unbelievable energy. Through reading her latest blog post it’s easy to see that this energy has made its way all the way to Kenya. Follow Holly B and all her spunk via http://hollybacchus.com/

If you're as hooked to these blogs as I am, you'll check back tomorrow for more updates. Until then!
