Have a Heart for CANFAR officially launched its 2011 campaign yesterday at Riverdale Collegiate in Toronto. Students at Riverdale were greeted by CANFAR’s youth ambassador Keshia Chanté, who was there to help the students sell heart-o-grams and raise awareness and funds for CANFAR.
Everyone had an incredible time with Keshia as she talked about CANFAR while signing autographs and taking pictures with the students. Riverdale’s PHAASE club (Promoting Health Awareness Among Staff and Students Everywhere) did such an great job preparing the heart-o-grams and getting all of the students out for their incredible launch event!
After the event Keshia went over to MuchMusic for an interview on New Music Live where she spoke about her involvement with CANFAR and Have a Heart. Check out the video!
This year, Have a Heart for CANFAR is running in over 2,000 schools nationwide and with Keshia Chanté on board we are looking forward to our most successful year yet!
this is great news! you guys look super fab in those end aids tshirts! glad to hear about some great young people doing a great job in the fight against aids. xoxo
