Have you ever volunteered? There are many benefits to contributing your time or talent to a cause you care about. Much of the success that we experience here at CANFAR is a result of the dedication we receive from our volunteers. These amazing men and women see the vision of our organization, and join us towards a future without AIDS. Helping in our offices and events can happen in many different ways, and we have shortened the distance for those who want to help from afar.
Since launching the Social Media Team earlier this year, we remain excited to receive a positive response of people helping spread the word about our cause. Made up of people from different age groups and backgrounds, members of our team use their Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare and other platforms, to help educate about AIDS and HIV prevention all across Canada and around the world. The team has been a tremendous help with AIDSbeat; they enlisted extra hands to come out and help the night-of (big thank-you to everyone on the team already, you're all super stars!). They continue to be a big help in our initiatives to spread the word about upcoming campaigns.
