The Countdown Begins for our February 2012 Have a Heart for CANFAR Campaign!

Thanks to our tremendous volunteers, all materials have now been shipped to over 2,500 schools across Canada in preparation for the campaign’s 19th year!

The Have a Heart for CANFAR team is excited to announce that all of the ‘Heart-o-Gram’ orders for the 2012 campaign have been shipped out to over 2,500 grade schools, colleges, universities, and health centres across Canada.

This year the Have a Heart for CANFAR team registered more schools than ever before! At 2,500+ schools, this is an increase of over 25% from the 2011 campaign.

With the help of dozens of great volunteers we were able to supply schools across Canada with HIV and AIDS awareness and fundraising materials.

New this year are the Regional Red Ribbon Awards presented to a school from each region of Canada (Western Canada, the Prairies, the Territories, Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes) that demonstrate outstanding dedication and community spirit while raising research funds and HIV and AIDS awareness amongst their peers. Get your school into the spirit of Have a Heart for CANFAR this year and tell us about all the great things you are doing to help raise awareness and funds through your campaign!

In addition, the top ten schools across the country to thoroughly engage and participate in our new Have a Heart for CANFAR Facebook page will receive the Social Media Red Ribbon Award, for their commitment to spreading HIV and AIDS awareness through online media.

With most schools running the program over the week of Valentine’s Day (Feb. 13th-17th), we wish each and every participant the best of luck in running a successful campaign!
