CANFAR's 30 Days for 30 Years: Day 3

CANFAR's 30 Days for 30 Years

DAY 3

34 Million

There are currently 34 million people living with HIV.

That’s the entire population of Canada!

When you group this community together it is easy to see the true impact of this virus. Could you imagine if every single Canadian had HIV?

Here at CANFAR we see 34 million as not just a number, but 34 million individuals across the globe whose lives have been changed as a result of their HIV-positive status; 34 million people that need our help and continued support. HIV has touched too many lives. It’s time to put a stop to it.

This June marks the 30th anniversary of the first diagnosis of AIDS. 30 Days for 30 Years is CANFAR’s month-long commemoration of this anniversary. Throughout the series, we will be providing you with photos, videos and statistics from AIDS over the past three decades.

To help us ensure that we do not reach 60 years of this disease, share 30 Days for 30 Years with your friends. Facebook and Twitter are great tools to utilize.
