Chris has 20 years of experience in the international communications and PR industry. He served as the CEO of the Awareness Foundation in London, England and Chairman & CEO of Weber Shandwick Canada. Chris also has significant governance experience in both the corporate and not-for-profit sectors. After serving as CANFAR's volunteer President in the mid-90s, Chris has returned to oversee the organization's national operations.

Sherrie oversees the development and execution of CANFAR's annual strategic fundraising plan, including cultivating, soliciting and stewarding major gift prospects and event and program sponsors. Sherrie has a decade of fundraising experience and has worked with other not-for-profit organizations as the Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF) and Catholic Missions in Canada.

Debbie is an effective and experienced event manager and senior administrator, whose background has been a blend of the charity sector and the political arena. Debbie is joining us from Queen’s Park, where she has served as Manager of Research Services and Tours in the office of the Leader of the Official Opposition and as Chief of Staff in a Member’s office. Prior to that, Debbie was Executive Director of the Mississauga International Children’s Festival, where she was responsible for overall event management and fundraising programming.

Lynne Butler has been with CANFAR for a decade. She oversees all office management duties including coordination of board meetings, financial administration, supervising volunteers and reception. Lynne also manages the national grants program and CANFAR's relationship with various Canadian HIV and AIDS researchers.

Jennifer graduated with a Bachelor of Arts & Science Honours from Queen's University. She has lived and studied internationally, while completing her International Studies Certificate with honours. While abroad, Jennifer focused on finessing her language skills in both French and Italian. In addition to being the Bilingual National Programs Officer here at CANFAR, she is also the staff liason to the Young Professional Council.

Alex graduated from the University of Western Ontario with an Honours Bachelor degree in Media and the Public Interest. She oversees CANFAR's communications and social media platforms. Alex has been involved within the AIDS movement for over a decade.

Laura has a background in fundraising and volunteer coordination, and did her internship at other non-profit organizations such as Amnesty International and War Child Canada. Laura is a graduate of Humber College’s Fundraising and Volunteer Management program.
