Corporate Partner Spotlight
CANFAR’s annual fundraising gala would be impossible without our many partners. Here are two that helped make it happen.
Some people know Sylvia Mantella for her smile in the society pages and her striking fashion choices. At the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research (CANFAR), we know Mrs. Mantella first and foremost for her generosity. This year marked the second year Mrs. Mantella has co-chaired CANFAR’s signature fundraising gala—Bloor Street Entertains. To help us celebrate the 20th anniversary of this event, Mrs. Mantella curated BSE Exquisite, a luxury online boutique and auction experience as extraordinary as Mrs. Mantella herself. BSE Exquisite included designer handbags from Mrs. Mantella’s own personal collection, as well as spectacular getaways to some of her favourite locations. In all, Mrs. Mantella helped raise more than $100,000 for BSE Exquisite. CANFAR graciously thanks Sylvia Mantella and the Mantella Corporation for their dedication to Bloor Street Entertains.
Lincoln Motor Company
If you attended Post-BSE (the Bloor Street Entertains after party) you no doubt saw the beautiful Lincoln Continental parked in front of the Royal Ontario Museum. Heralding the return of its iconic flagship, the all-new 2017 Lincoln Continental embodies elegance, serenity, and effortless power. Little wonder people were lined to have their photo taken next to it. “We were thrilled this year to welcome Lincoln Motor Company as the first-ever official automotive sponsor of Bloor Street Entertains and to offer our guests at Bloor Street Entertains the opportunity to be among the first to see the luxurious Lincoln Continental,” said Kyle Winters, CANFAR VP and COO. If you missed out on the chance to see it yourself, follow its journey at #ThatsContinental.
